Friday, I thought you'd never come.

A miserable week, to say the least, but it's finally over. To improve matters, which I didn't think was possible on a day like today... MY CHILDREN HAVE OFFICIALLY LEFT THE BUILDING.

O.M.G. (rub the eyes... refocus... is it really true?)

Yesterday's thoughts: Friday would be better. Nevermind the drilling on my mouth... today would be Friday! Psh... I can handle anything! Friday! Friday!!!!

Well, 3am comes around pretty quickly when you've had the poo beat out of you the day before. I woke up feeling like I'd been punched in the face several times. It's okay, though. Think positive!

Sit and drink some coffee. Take an Advil or two. Get motivated. No problem.

And as my thoughts kicked in in the shower, like they always do, they turned more belligerent than efficient. By the time I got to work I vented to Cherri and got myself all worked up. Not only did talking about it NOT help, but I realized how crappy this week really was, and how exhausted I really am, and it only made me want to cry, which I did on my 10 minute break (which quickly became 15 so I could pull myself back together).

Work sucked. I had a great crew, as expected, but nothing could turn me around. One cup of coffee, two Excedrin, and four shots of espresso later ~ my jaw ached, my head pounded, my mood was dark, I looked like poo (having cried off all of my makeup), and everything irritated me.

Eventually I made it to 10:00 (the longest 5 hours of my life) and crawled back into bed by 11. Three hours later I woke up with a stuffy head and a stiff jaw. What could improve me today? It wasn't looking good.

But I never imagined that sitting here with my brats, listening to music and piddling around on the Internet could lift my spirits, but it did. Leave it to the monsters to get me mellowed out and laughing again. And no sooner did they lift me up, but Grammy showed to take them home with her for the night.

So now I'm sitting here alone in the dark, blogging in the sweet, precious silence of a wonderful Friday afternoon. Perfect.

I think I'll move down to the sofa where I can really get comfortable. Find a movie. Think about nothing.

Ahhh. Hello, Friday.

Sigh.

Wednesdays are poo.

I'm really not a big fan of Wednesdays. It's kinda been a sucky week and we're only half way through. Ugh.

Today was another uneventful day. The best part had to be the super, amazing nap that lasted a solid two hours. I usually set an alarm clock to keep me from getting too carried away, but I don't typically need it. Today was the exception! I probably could have rolled back over and slept longer, but that would have qualified me for feeling guilty, so my bliss eventually came to an end.

These kids are driving me insane. I wish I were the type to keep them entertained all summer, but I'm beginning to think they enjoy being lazy for a while. Who can blame them, really. I just wish they got along better. This house would be so much more peaceful and pleasant. Instead, I'll just count the days till they go back to school. Little @&"$#%!

I'm going to the dentist tomorrow. Yay. I have to get three or four fillings. I've only had one other in my life, maybe twenty years ago, so I have no idea what's in store for me. On a positive note, Kat has to get a couple, too, so we can suffer together. Cool.

I'm looking forward to the weekend. My house needs a major dusting, more than one person can handle. The floor grinding reeked major havoc on the dusting situation. It's going to take the whole village to tackle this one.

Aside from the dusting, a little relaxing is in order. We got our asses handed to us this past weekend, he's worked longer days this week, and the heat sucks. So aside from the typical stuff and a little forced socializing, we're counting on hiding.

As for now, it's movie time. Tonight it's "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief".

Well, until tomorrow...
